Fighting the signs of aging isn’t just about using the right serums (although there are some great ones to help you fight wrinkles), it’s also about mastering makeup and hair tricks that help you look and feel your best. Here are our best tips and top products to help you look youthful.

    Brows

As we age, our eyebrows tend to get sparse. Nothing is more youthful than full eyebrows, so fill them in with a brow pencil that’s as close to your natural shade as possible. Don’t try to reshape your arches; just enhance them for subtle results.

    Hair

Avoid hairstyles that pull on your roots, like tight ponytails and slicked-back chignons. They can lead to hair breakage and make you look like you have a receding hairline. Chic and low-maintenance ’dos are your best bet.

    Haircolour

Opt for a hair colour that warms up your skin and ask for highlights around your face for a sun-kissed look. Stay within two shades of your natural colour.

    Eyes

Dark circles become a growing concern as you get older. Avoid applying eyeliner on your lower lash line, as that can make your eyes appear smaller. Stick to warm shades like rose, peach and gold to open up your peepers, and avoid using grey and silver, as they can draw attention to dark circles.

    Skin care

If you want to reduce the look of existing wrinkles and prevent new ones from cropping up, use a serum (most women tend to forget about this step!). The potent active ingredients will treat your beauty concerns, from dehydration to dark spots to wrinkles. For wrinkles and loss of elasticity, look for serums that contain retinol or peptides to give your skin a youthful look. If you have dry skin, opt for serums containing hyaluronic acid to replenish lost moisture.
