eye enhancers: five simple tricks to emphasize your eyes
Sometimes all it takes to get that doe-eyed effect is a dab of shimmery eye shadow and a few coats of mascara. Here are five clever tricks to make your eyes appear brighter (and well-rested!) in minutes.
CURL YOUR LASHES
If you think skipping out on using your eyelash curler won’t make a difference, think again. Curling your lashes before applying mascara can make your lashes appear longer and thicker, so don’t skip out on this step (especially if you have short and sparse lashes).
TIP: To create a more natural curl (and not a 90 degree angle) try “walking” the tool from the base of the lashes all the way to the ends.

USE A NUDE EYELINER
Applying a nude eyeliner on your lower waterline can work wonders at making your eyes appear bigger. Opt for a nude or champagne coloured eyeliner for a subtle brightening effect.
TIP: This trick also works well to perk up tired eyes by reducing redness around the eyes.

DON’T SKIP MASCARA
If you’re in a rush, the one product to reach for to make your eyes stand out is black mascara. Don’t forget to coat your lower lashes as well to amp up the doe-eyed factor.
TIP: For shorter lashes, try using a waterproof formula (the wax in the product will help hold the curl of your lashes longer). Wiggle your brush in a zigzag motion when applying the product to avoid any clumps.

HIGHLIGHT THE INNER CORNER
Dabbing a pale, shimmery eye shadow to the inner corner of the eye is a simple step that can dramatically change your eye look. Choosing a champagne or pale gold hue with shimmer pigments can help bring light to your eye area and make you look wide awake instantly.
TIP: In a pinch, applying a powder highlighter to the inner corner can also create a similar effect.

ILLUMINATE THE UNDER-EYE AREA
Darkness around the eyes can instantly age you and make your eyes appear smaller. Combat dark circles and shadows under the eyes with a light-reflecting concealer.
TIP: When it comes to illuminating concealers, less is more. Dot a small amount of the product over any dark areas and blend in with your ring finger.
