We’re all about face masks. They address specific skincare concerns (like dryness and blemishes) and also double as a relaxing, at-home facial treatment (without the trip to the spa). From sheet masks to charcoal masks, we’ve got a mask for every skin type.

YOUR SKIN TYPE: NORMAL / COMBINATION
Sheet masks are chock-full of vitamins and active ingredients to hydrate and brighten your skin. If you have normal to combination skin, pop on a refreshing sheet mask for a few minutes to wake up tired skin.

TIP: To de-puff tired skin, try leaving your sheet mask in the fridge for a few minutes before applying.

YOUR SKIN TYPE: OILY / ACNE-PRONE
If you notice your skin acting up (aka blemishes and excess oil), reach for a clay or charcoal mask. They work wonders on oily, acne prone skin by drawing out impurities, excess oil, and tightening pores at the same time.

TIP: Use a toner afterwards to balance out your skin’s pH level and don’t forget to apply moisturizer afterwards (even if you have oily skin).

    YOUR SKIN TYPE: DRY
For dry and dehydrated skin, look for a mask with moisture-boosting ingredients like hyaluronic acid. If you have extra dry skin, apply a thin layer and leave overnight for a soothing, rehydrating skin treatment.

TIP: Combat super dry, flaky skin by exfoliating prior to applying your mask (it will also help your skin absorb the active ingredients in the mask better).

YOUR SKIN TYPE: SENSITIVE / IRRITATED
If you have sensitive skin that’s prone to irritation, try a soothing, hypoallergenic mask that will calm skin. This Avène mask works to reduce redness (perfect for rosacea-prone skin!).

TIP: Before applying your mask, be sure to use a mild cleanser like a milk cleanser to avoid irritating skin further.

    YOUR SKIN TYPE: MATURE
If fine lines and dull skin are your main skin concerns, opt for a mask with anti-aging properties and moisturizing ingredients like vitamin E and shea butter. This mask by Erno Laszlo boosts skin’s collagen production and is perfect for mature skin types.

TIP: After washing off your mask, don’t forget to apply a serum to help those active ingredients to sink deeper into your skin.
