When it comes to putting on makeup in the morning, I am a creature of habit and venturing outside the box merely means switching up my lipstick colour. To break me out of my habit, my co-worker Emily suggested I try the Mikhael Kale look that was recently featured at World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto.

I prepped first by using concealer to cover up any red spots on my face. To get the dewy effect, I dabbed Baby Lips and lipgloss on my eyelids, the top of my nose, my chin, my browbones and my cheekbones. This is a hack I’ve heard beauty editors mention before but I had yet to try it. I love how the lip balm gave me an instant highlight and made my dry skin look dewy! I made a note to add this step into my daily routine from now on. For my eyes, I kept it simple with a coat of mascara and defined my brows with the brow crayon. To achieve the pink lips, which are the star of this look, I dabbed on the Cream Pencil in the centre of my lips and used the smudger to push it out to my lipline. I would suggest wiping the smudger a couple of times with a tissue while using it to get a more even look. This makeup was easy to recreate, and it left me with a few new tricks up my sleeve!
