When I’m in a serious rush in the morning (so, basically every day!), I depend on a handful of products that can do double-duty in five minutes or less—and yes, I timed it! My other requirement? Products I can apply with my fingers. (I always keep my makeup remover wipes nearby for a speedy clean-up).

If there’s no time for foundation or BB cream, I head straight for the concealer to cover up my dark undereye circles and blemishes. My new favourite? Benefit’s Bo-ing (buy now here). It’s super-creamy, which makes it a breeze to apply, and it’s built to last all day.

Next, I reach for Stila’s Smudge Pot in Kitten (buy now here)—I mean, how can you not love a product called Kitten?—which doubles as an eyeshadow and highlighter. I usually dab it on my browbones and cheekbones.

For lipstick and blush in a pinch, I absolutely depend on Stila Convertible Lip and Cheek Colour in Poppy (buy now here). A makeup artist recommended this shade for me several years ago, and Poppy and I have been in a steady relationship ever since. It’s perfect for my complexion and offers slightly flushed cheeks and a lip colour that’s just a smidge darker than my natural hue.

Last but not least, a few swipes of mascara. Lately, I’ve gone back to an old classic, Great Lash Mascara by Maybelline New York. There’s a reason it’s so deeply loved by women all over the world: it defines your lashes and doesn’t clump or flake. And when you have deep-set eyes like me, a smudge-free finish in a hurry is key.

Four products. Five minutes. And I’m ready to face the world!
